OUR GATHERING AGREEMENTS
What makes this place safe
Every gathering begins with shared promises — not rules, but commitments we make to each other.
1
What is shared here, stays here; confidentiality is our first commitment.
2
We listen to understand, not to fix. We don’t offer advice unless it’s asked for.
3
One voice at a time. We honor each other by listening fully.
4
You are welcome to pass. Sharing is always an invitation, never a requirement.
5
We hold each other with compassion, no judgment, no comparison.
6
This is a space to be human — imperfect, tired, honest, and held.
QUESTIONS
About our gatherings
What happens when I join a Table Talk?
You’ll be welcomed into a small group setting. There’s a brief opening to ground the space, followed by open sharing. You can speak or simply listen; both are equally valued.
Who are these gatherings for?
Table Talks and Heart Sessions are designed for unpaid and family caregivers, those supporting a loved one through illness, aging, or life transitions.
Is what I share kept confidential?
Yes. We ask everyone to respect the privacy of the group so it remains a safe and supportive space.
Who facilitates the gatherings?
Each session is gently guided by a Lumera Leader facilitator to hold the space, support flow, and ensure everyone feels respected and heard.
What if I get emotional during a session?
That’s okay. This is a space where all emotions are welcome. You’ll be supported, and there’s no expectation to hold it together.
How is this different from therapy?
Our gatherings are peer support, not clinical care, facilitated spaces for connection and shared experience, not treatment or counseling.
Do I have to share? Can I just listen?
Absolutely. Passing is always welcome. Many people find deep value in simply being present and listening.
Do I have to commit to attending regularly?
Not at all. Both programs are drop-in, come when you can, skip when life is full.
Are there costs to join?
Free to join. Access to caregiver online support should never depend on your financial situation.
What's the difference between Table Talks and Heart Sessions?
Table Talks meet weekly as open, drop-in peer sharing; no agenda, just connection. Heart Sessions meet monthly around a specific topic with an expert guest. Both are free.

Supporting unpaid and family caregivers through community, wellness, and rest.
